The development and production process:
We started with a pre-existing hand-knit pattern to inform the selection of yarn and gauge of knit.
Hand-knitting the sample to check the gauge, and yarn, match the original pattern.
The sample was sent to Warner Bros for approval in the United States.
A yarn suitable for manufacturing was selected.
Once approval was gained a sample and tech-pack were sent to a manufacturer in the UK sampling on their industrial knitting machines.
I advised the manufacturer on how to adapt the knitting pattern to overcome glitches in the initial samples.
Rivets were added to the hat, the order was packaged and sent to Warner Bros.
